AliciaDestiny and Suzaku tied for the November season, Terminus Shores claws back #1 alliance

Last month, we had a lot of drama on the last day. Today, it was more calm, at least at the very top. In the individual rankings, Suzaku (Netherlands) and AliciaDestiny (USA) looked like they would fight for the sole #1 spot in the final hours, but then decided on a truce after hitting the exact same number of medals.

Suzaku reached #1 GDI with a deck with an average level of 13.7, which is highly impressive and far below the average for the top 20. This is also the first time in a while that BIKERUSHOWNZ (UK) doesn't hold the #1 GDI spot!

I asked them to comment on this decision.  What I had hoped Suzaku would say: "I saw Alicia desperately starting to abuse challenge matches to gain medals. I felt sorry for her and offered a truce."  What I hoped AliciaDestiny would say: "After crushing Suzaku 4-1 in the recent tournament finals, I felt sorry for him and offered him to be rank 1.5."

What they actually told me, after chatting peacefully together: "We are looking for new challengers!". So, not much drama, but a wish for more competition at the top. Well, thanks for nothing! As a blogger, I need more drama!  Maybe Nukin (USA), nickcool (Taiwan) and others will deliver next season?  Until then, you can get more interesting statements from our two season winners in our recent interviews with them: AliciaDestiny, Suzaku.

On a strong third place, we have Noid Hex. He had great winrates with his trademark "Noid Hex Giga" deck and Razorback and made the top 5 for both factions. This is his best season result ever. If you want to see what "continuous progress" looks like, check out his season history!

The top 10 are dominated by 4 players from Terminus Shores and 3 players from SUPER ASCENDANCE. This brings us to the alliance rankings.

The first thing that might surprise you: "Where is SUPER ASCENDANCE? How can they have 3 Top10 players, but not be in the alliance Top20?" The answer is simple: SUPER ASCENDANCE had just 21 members at the end of the season, after it seemingly split again. Last season, the winner was Hellz Ascendance, a merger between Ascendance and Hellz Connection (which in turn was a merger between Hellz 1st Infantry and the Brazil/Portuguese Connection alliance).

So Terminus Shores took back the #1 alliance spot in dominating fashion. We asked their leader and top Rivals streamer 13lade (UK) for a comment: "Where even is Hellz Ascendance? I thought we were competing for rank one, but I guess you need to be able to hold your alliance together for more than twenty seconds at the end of the season to compete."  Bam.

So we didn't have any exciting battle for the #1 alliance spot. #2 though was fiercely competed for. Both Kraut Control (Germany/Austria) and Baguette (France/Belgium/Canada) didn't just play a ton on the last day, but also shuffled around members from their secondary alliances to bring the top medal folks together. Tiberium Coast and Terminus also had a good shot at the #2 spot, but there seems to have been some issues in Terminus in the last hours, when they dropped from 30 to 28 players.

Kraut Control made a big jump from #7 last time to #2, and Druckwelle climbed 4 ranks to #13. Mostly, the Top 20 alliance list stayed stable compared to last month.
